There’s a new car in town. A new fast car, and that machine would be the 911 Turbo S. The new S draws its energy from its V6 Boxer and two exhaust gas turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. That combination has increased the Turbo’s specs by 30hp bringing it to a grand total of 530hp and 516lb-ft of torque.
Disappointingly, the S comes with Porsche’s seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK). Pronounce that word, we dare you! For all the non Germans out there, that impressively long word means Porsche’s Double-Clutch Gearbox- sending the power to the Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system. If you’re thinking of purchasing the handling package, it would include dynamic engine mounts and PTV (Porsche Torque Vectoring) followed by a mechanical differential lock on the rear axle.
This S seems to come with a lot of goodies and fortunately, there’s still more! Dynamic Bending Lights, 19-inch wheels in RS Spyder design with central locking, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles, a CD/DVD changer, cruise control, adaptive sports seats and exclusive twin-tone leather upholstery in Black/Crema or Black/Titanium Blue.
Finally we get to the juiciest of all the details, the speed. The S has the ability to make a run from 0-100km/h in a very impressive 3.3 seconds. That is a quick Turbo. Surely, a car that goes that quick must be able to stop at a rate just as fast, and it can. With Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the S is capable of high speed stops.
Final Thoughts: An absolutely spectacular Porsche. It really does have all the goods. Of course, a car that has the whole package can’t be cheap.. and it isn’t. If you’re a coupe man like me then you’ll be shelling out about $200,000, the cabriolet will be $212,000.
Here are the epic photos and a very informative video!

Talk about original titles. Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Murcielago. the Revenge Verde! That name just stands out in the pack. Alright, I think we’re done with the name, let’s move on shall we?
Let’s start with the body. Sporting carbon fiber body work, a lot say that much of this Verde resembles the Ford GT. Not a bad car to emmulate.
In the numbers department, there are quite a few choices. 1st choice: a 605hp Ford crate engine. 2nd choice: a 638hp GM LS9 and third an HP2g Hybrid V8 engine. A fully manual 6 speed transmission will be available or a 6 speed sequential box. One special thing about the engine choices is that they’ll all be handled by different tuners. The Ford crate engine will be developed by Roush who needs no introduction, the LS9 638hp engine will be handled by Pratt & Miller. The hybrid is a different story. Revenge will be installing HP2g’s Electromagnetic Pulse engine into the rolling chassis. The engine is said to incorporate ceramic magnets that act on the crankshaft to generate and electric current, creating a sort of electric motor to power spark and accessories. The power that will generate from this electrical powerplant is said to be at about 400hp. Obviously, when we’re talking about a hybrid engine, there is one other factor to seriously consider. How much mpg can we get out of it? An impressive 100mpg. Not bad for a supercar.
Final Thoughts: It’s a good looking car that sports some impressive gas guzzling numbers but when it comes to the HP2g hybrid, it just seems a bit ahead of its time. Only time will tell us of the reliablility of this special hybrid option.
B+! A great start for a supercar. The back is a bit odd though we must admit.

What did you all think about the Mclaren MP4-12C when it first made its debut? I’ll be honest, wasn’t a fan. I took a look at it and didn’t feel that I want to be in one feeling we all know we get. We continued to look at it for days and something odd happened. We changed our minds, we loved it! It is just one of those cars to us that takes a bit of time to grow on you. Unfortunately, after our final verdict, another problem presented itself. It was just a street car, there was no race version. For a lot of brands this would be no big deal but this is Mclaren we’re talking about! We digress. Why? Well, a little hope has been thrown our way in the form of a rendering.
His name is synonymous with digital renderings. That’s right, he’s Jon Sibal and he’s done it again. He has designed “what the McLaren MP4-12C as a GTR variant might look like dressed in the iconic GULF livery.” Our thoughts? It’s spectacular, not much else to it. Enough chit chatting let’s take a look at what the good designer’s done.

Taking the gold for our Forever Driven Trailer Of The Week today is the official promo for the Porsche Boxster Spyder. What can we say, this is a great trailer. They definitely took the unique route, no words, no ads, no trying to sell, just a drummer, spectacular music and a beautiful new Boxster Spyder. We think the word above about sums it up. Fantastic!

Remember when the 2011 M3 GTS first made its debut? It was such an exciting looking car. It had the power, it had that utter aggressive beauty we all crave and best of all, it had the speed. All that was left to see was whether or not any of that would matter, what was left to see was whether or not it would actually sell. Well that brings us to present day. Dr. Kay Segler, head of BMW’s M Division recently mentioned that they have sold every last M3 GTS and are currently sold out. I guess, that answers our question.
I know what some of you may be thinking. It’s been a long time since we last heard about the GTS. Thousands of new cars have come and gone, so many of which we have been excited about and memorized its more important numbers. What if the GTS’ details have gotten lost in the shuffle? Well that’s what we’re here for. Here’s a little memory jogger for you:
Weight savings (the biggest part of this rampant BMW): 419lbs from a total of 3285lbs.
Power: 30hp increase for a grand total of 450hp
Displacement: 4.4L from the current 4.0L V8.
Noteworthy Additions: Titanium exhaust
There you have it. The ForeverDriven notes on the bad ass M3 GTS’ that all managed to find their way to a new proud owner.
Oh what will they come up with next!

The 2010 Mercedes Benz Fashion week kicked off this year in Berlin and it was jam packed. The main attraction of course being the incorporation of the German automaker’s new supercar, the SLS AMG ‘Gullwing’. With the help of photographer Nick Knight and fashion designer Gareth Pugh, Mercedes has made an artsy campaign for their star car.
The goal of this photo shoot for the automaker was laid out clear for us in a statement made by Anders Sundt Jensen, VP of Brand Communications:
“Having a vision and breathing life into it is an essential part of the Mercedes-Benz success story. Driven by a passion for design, technology and materials and an instinct for style and the spirit of the times, innovative designers develop their creations. And innovation is just as vital in fashion as it is in car design. Forward-looking design is always a combination of exceptional ideas, a personal signature and an unmistakable style – the key characteristics of Mercedes-Benz.”
There you have it, a whole new idea to advertise a supercar. ‘Fashion As Performance’ as it’s been called has given some real originality to the already spectacular German legendary supercar.
Also, for those who were wondering, Julia Stegner is the lovely model posing in the shoot.

We’ve got a problem. We had to put up an auto trailer of the week this week. We began to look through some videos and found what we were looking for. Unfortunately we found two unbelievable videos and couldn’t decide which was worthy of Forever Driven’s coveted trailer of the week. So we thought we would put both up and let you decide!
First up, the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo Trailer. This video places their coupe and convertible 911 Turbo’s in a beautiful location, so we’ve got the great scenery. Porsche also made sure to put a bangin’ soundtrack to keep us all at the edge of our seats. Check off music. They then proceed to race the cars down the windy roads while giving you an X-ray view at the inner workings of the car, including some new editions. +1 for the ride!
That about sums up the video. Porsche Manages to give you the scenery, the music and the driving that makes us want to take a seat in one of these. We’ll take the coupe!
Next, the Audi R8 Spyder. This video is different. There is no music, no X-ray vision, no magnificent scenery. They give you an R8, a street filled with lights and obstructions and specs simply written down on the screen. So why do we love this video? Well for one, the German automaker is showing the public that they haven’t just built a supercar, they’ve built a daily driving supercar. Another reason is that Audi managed to capture something that we don’t see in every commercial. It made it’s video raw and aggressive and made their R8 look like a force to be reckoned with.
Now we’ve seen and analyzed the videos. First off, let us just say that both of these videos are spectacular. Just an amazing display of what a good commercial can do to a car junkie. We have come to a decision. Yes, we had to watch both trailers numerous times to be able to choose a winner but we have finally come to a decision.
The winner of Forever Driven’s Trailer of the Week out of sheer bad ass-ery goes to…Drum roll… The Audi R8 Spyder! Porsche pulled out more stops but it didn’t matter. Audi has made a unique and creative video that we’ll be watching over and over again!
Now it’s your turn. Who do you think has the better trailer? Just write your vote in the comment box below or email us at eran@foreverdriven.com! If we get enough votes, we’ll put up the Forever Driven Fans Trailer of the Week!
